At Bird’s Eye View, our mission is straightforward: to provide customized, clear flight instruction that empowers students to take full control of realizing their aviation dreams. Whether you’re just starting or advancing your skills, our instructors are committed to understanding your individual goals and tailoring each lesson to fit you.
Our story begins with our own experiences navigating the flight training process. We realized there was a better way to approach flight instruction — one where students had specific objectives to meet, but the freedom to achieve them on their own timeline. We aimed to eliminate the rigidity often associated with traditional flight schools, while offering flexibility without compromising the quality of training.
Additionally, we were frustrated by the lack of organization and management when it came to aircraft maintenance. It became a constant challenge knowing if an aircraft would be available when we had a flight scheduled. That’s why we’ve made it a priority to ensure all our aircraft are well-maintained, organized, and ready for use when you need them.
With a focus on safety, confidence, and skill development, we offer hands-on, personalized training that prepares you for every aspect of flight. We’re here to guide you, but ultimately, you’re the one in control — of the aircraft and of your path to success.
Meet Andrew: A Pilot Who’s Been Where You Want to Go
I grew up in a small farm town in eastern Washington, where hard work and community were the cornerstones of life. After college, I pursued a career in construction management, building hospitals — a field that taught me discipline, precision, and the value of a job well done. But everything changed when my brother, a pilot, encouraged me to try flying.
I started flying later in life, and after just a few lessons, I knew my office no longer belonged on a job site — it belonged in the sky. Like many aspiring pilots, however, I faced my fair share of struggles along the way. Financial hurdles, bad flight instructors, and unreliable aircraft, to name a few. Rather than letting those setbacks hold me back, they pushed me to find a better way.
These struggles created Bird's Eye View — a flight school built on my own personal experience. I wanted to create a place where aspiring pilots wouldn't have to face the same frustrations I did — where training is tailored, organized, and focused on real progress without unnecessary roadblocks.
Eventually, I made the jump to the airline pilot world, and it’s been the best decision I’ve ever made. I’ve faced the ups and downs firsthand, and I can help you overcome the obstacles standing between you and your dreams.
